I had always been a huge Sonic fan, so when I heard of a game called "Sonic Boom" would be coming out I was really hype and knew that when the game came out that I would buy it. When the time finally came, I heard gaming companies giving the game bad reviews. I knew that since it was a Sonic game that it couldn't have been that bad. So when the game came out, I decided to go pick it up from my local Gamestop.
When I got home, I decided to put the game in my Wii U and boot it up. I put the game into my Wii U, but then strange things started happening. My Wii U menu's colors started inverting when I put the game in and instead of the normal calm menu music there was instead a loud shriek. When I hit the button to play the game, a message came up that said "Turn back now". I was only a little freaked out by this and pressed A to continue anyway.
After I got to the title screen I noticed that things weren't normal. Instead of the normal title screen that said "Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric" this one said "Sonic Boom: Rise of Satan". In the background it showed all of the characters laying in cold blood and the devil behind them. I was very freaked out by this, but continued on anyway. When I got to the file selection screen there were 2 files to choose from. One of them was titled "Satan" and the other "Sonic". I obviously chose the one that was titled Sonic because I'm a smart gamer.
The first cutscene was just Sonic running from the devil in a place that resembled hell. When the actual game started I was playing as Sonic running from the devil. I noticed that Sonic started slowing down, and eventually stopped. The devil then consumed his soul and threw his body into the fiery pit.
I selected the next file. I was playing as the devil trying to chase Sonic and the gang. Whenever I pressed the A button a knife would launch from the devil's hand and hit one of the characters that I was chasing. I eventually killed all of the characters and then the devil turned towards the screen and said the words "You're next". Shocked by this, I turned off my Wii U and then smashed it with a baseball bat that I had found in the back room of my house a month before when I was cleaning my back room and then threw my Wii U in the trash. I never played that abomination ever again.
